Myth to My Truth

 Old Ideas to New Ideas

As the newer and newer energies flood into our Earth plane

and saturate our body-minds-brains we awaken more and more.

Sometimes we tend to think of it as affecting only our spiritual lives.

I find some very practical ideas and insights happening, also.

So this is a potpourri of highly spiritual to practical ideas

that I discover on my journey as I go…

Some of these I have discover out of pure necessity,

like I became chemically ultrasensitive.

Some of them were placed in my path so I'd be sure to see them,

I suppose by my loving guides or my own soul.

Some of them, I'd like to think, I discovered by strokes of pure genius.

These are listed in the order of chaotic creative inspiration,

certainly the list isn't prioritized,

so use your own intuition and powers to find what you need in this now moment…

Remember these are MY Truths.

Most of all ENJOY yourself, LIGHTEN UP and have some FUN!

If you have discovered something like this in your own life,

please feel free to email me and share it.

I love hearing from you.

It may or may not get posted, 'ya' never know!

My Truth: WE HAVE EVERYTHING WE NEED BUILT IN TO WAKE UP

How to TICKLE your AMYGDALA

I thought this would be a great way to start… by the time you have done this you will be a a lot better moods to continue…

Speaking of the Amygdalahave you ever considered tickling yours? I'm not kidding you, it is a very amazing thing you can do for yourself. I practiced with a friend, so we could share our findings with each other. It is really fun doing something that silly together and a great thing to prepare you for… well anything. Like life, school, studying, making love, communicating, sleeping, expressing your creativity, however you do it. Read More about the Brain and Amygdala HERE. I borrowed these instructions from that article with a little editing for practicality. Take a moment to look at some picture of Amygdalas, there are many that pop up when you do a search online. Then get your feather ready!

Visualize your almond shaped Amygdalas on both sides of your brain pointing towards the frontal lobes. You can find all kinds of playful approaches to activate the anterior part.  It is not important to sense the exact location of the Amygdala, a clear sense of visualizing it is enough.  Once you feel-see-sense your Amygdalas, you can feel-see-sense yourself with a big soft feather and playfully tickle the front part of each Amygdala.

"Do it playfully, remember, reptiles don’t play, so if you are in a playful mood, you are already one step out of reptile brain stress. Sense the tickling as realistically as you can.  If you do this many times during the day, as often as you can remember it, the effects can be amazing.  This is not an attempt to change your mind intentionally, which is next to impossible, it is the use of the mind to affect your physiology, which is far more realistic." This is one example of having something built right in, inside you just waiting for you to discover it! I will think of more sometime.

NONTOXIC CLEANING

Myth: You have to use all kinds of highly scented, toxic chemical cleaners and lots of different kinds of them to get things clean.

My Truth: I am interested in being as kind and respectful to myself, my family, my friends, both seen and unseen, the environment and my Mother Planet Earth as I know how. I have discovered that I can use very little chemicals to clean with. That many of my ideas about what I NEED to use in my life to get things clean are commercial industrial marketing truths.

What really had to change was my own ideas about it all.

My truth is I like things very clean. I have discovered that what ever I breathe, dip my hands in, rub on my skin, spray in the air, sleep on, or consume ALL effects my HEALTH and WELL BEING at some level. For starts, everything, the best I can find, is food grade, Organic and nonGMO. I am worth it and so is my family and so are you and so is our environment and so is our Mother Earth.

I discovered that many things come clean with pure water, a clean rag and a little elbow action! If something else is needed I can use Baking Soda for grit and sweetening nasty smells and cheap white Vinegar for things that need to end up shiny, like windows. Sometimes I need a little soap to cut grease or oil. I found that enzyme based stain removers work wonders.

I did an experiment to see if I could do laundry without all the highly scented toxic soaps and chemicals. I started by washing with pure water. Interesting, most things got clean. I tried using just a very little bit of laundry soap, a few squirts vs a capful or cupful. I settled on buying one of the less toxic to the environment concentrated scent free laundry soaps. I decided to spend my money on more soap, less water and less packaging was a better idea for me. Besides it takes up way less space on my shelf.

I found if there is oil involved, I need some kind of soap and I can use very little compared to what is recommended on the label. Orange Oil is an amazing cleaner of stubborn stains and remover of sticky things. I have studied what others have discovered and found some great formulas I can make myself from natural ingredients easily found and way less expensive. Experiment; watch and see what the results are. Be brave and experimental. My cleaning closets used to be so toxic I had to hold my breath to open it, much less use them. I always felt very sick after cleaning. Now I have so very little reaction and bulk of bottles and boxes compared to what I had and it is a joy to clean.

Now for a little soapbox insight My Truth: I love certain subtle smells; flowers, fresh air, fresh wet green alive things after a rain, clean skin, the smell of fresh nontoxic fruits and vegetables. Have you ever smelled spring water? I love mountain air and pine trees. I love the smell of a desert in bloom. I love the smell of the ocean. I love the smell of putting my nose to the earth when it is wet and the sun comes out and warms it. I love the smell of wild herbs and trees in bloom. I have learned that the strong smells of many commercial products and perfumes can destroy our sensitive abilities to smell. The more you use them, the more you have to use because your smeller is being knocked out by them.

I discovered that the strong scents and chemicals they are putting in cleaning, household, laundry and personal hygiene products can be very dangerous to our health, causing all kinds of serious illnesses and diseases. You have to dig for the info sometimes. Finally there are scientific studies being released (way too slowly) that show a link to these conditions.

Personally I know they cause me to lose my ability to think straight and cause my bronchial-lungs great stress. It makes me so sad that people I really like are so scented that I can't be near them for very long. I can't go into their houses or ride in a car with them without compromising my health and wellbeing. Sometimes, even when they stop to talk to me, I have to back away from them, the scents are so strong. It gives some people the opportunity to be angry at me and make up all kinds of things about why I am acting the way I am. I discovered it is nearly impossible to remove some of the scents once they are embedded in clothes and linens. Even hugging someone with heavy scents, including perfumes, can leave their scent on me and I have to change my clothes and sometimes even bathe.

Here are a few of MY FAVORITE PRODUCTS that might help you get started:

Baking Soda

White Vinegar

Cleaning Strength White Vinegar

Hydrogen Peroxide

Biokleen Laundry Soap

Seventh Generation Natural Laundry Softener

Oxygen Powder to replace bleach, make sure you get scent free.

I also use Baking Soda and White Vinegar in my laundry.

Essential Oils

I use a variety of anti-bacterial, anti-fungal anti-many things Organic Essential Oils:

Eucalyptus        Cedarwood        Cinnamon         Cloves

Lavander       Lemon        Lime        Lemongrass

Orange      Pine         Rosemary         Sage

Thyme       Oregano        Tea Tree

Grapefruit Seed Extract

Organic Oils are more expensive yet they last a long time and I am assured that no toxic chemicals are hiding in the bottles. I gradually added different ones here and there until I have a great box of them for cleaning, for health, for medicine. I make an concentrated intuitive mix of any combination of these I call "Mold Control". I use about 30 drops in a mister or spray bottle with water, shake and spray. It is great for killing mold, fungus, freshening stale closets, and it is okay, in fact healthy, to breath gently. Sometimes I put it in the water of my humidifier if I am sick or just want to freshen the room. If you really miss the scents in cleaning products you can add a few drops of your own favorites. Make sure everyone else who will be smelling them like the one you choose. I love Lemongrass, Orange, Lemon and Lavander..

HEALTHY BEAUTY

Myth: You need 100s of Commercial Products to maintain your Health and Beauty. It doesn't matter what is in it as long as it looks good, smells good or feels good.

My Truth: Wow this is a big topic. I am intending to share just a few secrets I have discovered for my own self. Being chemically ultra-sensitive and having family members that way has lead me to lots of research finding lots of information and experimenting to find products I can use personally and continuously without ill effects. I will repeat myself here: I am interested in being as kind and respectful to myself, my family, my friends and neighbors, both seen and unseen, our environment and my Mother Planet Earth as I know how.

I have discovered that what ever I dip my hands into, wash myself with, rub on my face or skin, spray in the air or my hair,  breathe, sleep in or on, or consume ALL affects my HEALTH and WELL BEING at some level. I have learned that whatever I rub on my skin or put on my face, I might as well eat, for that is what the skin does, absorb it right into my body.

Have you ever read the labels of what you use on yourself?

If you are unsure of what it is,

start looking into it:

List of Dangerous Chemicals in Skin Care Products

Cosmetic Chemicals

For starts, everything, the best I can find, is food grade, Organic and nonGMO. You still have to read labels. Be responsible for yourself and your family. Educate yourself. These new choices seemed to cost more at first and now I realize I am worth it and so is my family and so are you and so is our environment and so is our Mother Earth. When I really decide something, my universe seems to make a way to magically align and make a way for me to have it. There are hidden cost in using things that are toxic, way beyond what most of us are aware of today. I see and meet and know so many people walking around, living with myriads of dis-ease symptoms of conditions in their body-minds that they have no idea how they are created, much less how to improve or get rid of them.

I do my best to buy everything

Food Grade, Organic and nonGMO.

Read labels carefully.

Here are some of the stars in my Beauty Kit:

Skin:

I make a BODY OIL for myself by placing a glass jar in a pan of water and adding the ingredients that need to melt and slowly warming them. Take it off the heat. Then I intuitively use a combination of these other oils and add my favorite essential oils for scent:

Coconut Oil (some smell more coconutty than others)

Jojoba Oil (it absorbs)

Shea Butter (a little goes a long way)

Coconut Butter (a little goes a long way)

Argon Oil

Sea Buckthorn Oil

Rose Hip Oil

Eating good quality oils that absorb into your body, like Olive, Avacado or Walnut, is helpful. Coconut oil doesn't absorb, that is why it it considered a miracle food and great for those who want to lose weight. This is one of the best buys I know Vitacost Extra Virgin Certified Organic Coconut Oil — 54 fl oz

Shower:

Good Filtered Water, Baking Soda & an nice Energy Cleanse

Use a good quality Shower Filter to reduce the Chlorine and toxic chemicals. I use scrub gloves most of the time. I sometimes use Baking Soda for underarms and to scrub with. I no longer use shampoo. I use the time in the water to cleanse more than just my skin and hair. I clear & clean my energy fields; I ask my body to let go of all excessive electric and chaotic energies and to balance herself. I imagine it all dissolving and evaporating out the top of my head.

Face:

I love Marajuca Oil.

This is Passion Fruit seed oil. Some makeup companies sell it for BIG $$. I found an organic wild harvested source for very reasonable: CelebratioVitae.com. They have many yummy oils and other organic skin products to sample.

Makeup:  Bare Essentials & Tarte.

My lovely daughter introduced me to Bare Escentuals & Tarte makeup. I have had an almost impossible time wearing makeup because of my sensitivities and the level of toxicity in most brands. Her loving generous guidance and these fresh looking and neutral feeling cosmetics brought me a whole new sense of confidence when I want to look and feel younger. When I first started I wanted to try all kinds of makeup and now it has settled into my favorite easy and doable ones. I like:

Bare Minerals Skin Care Purely Nourishing Cream for Dry Skin

Mineral Foundation Powders

tarte Airbrush Finish Bamboo FoundationBrush

I tried a cheaper brush for the foundation powder and it was very obvious that I was worth the extra. I'm happy with this one.

tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Wear Blush

tarte emphasEYES Waterproof Amazonian Clay BrowMousse

Lips:

Tarte is the only brand of lipsticks I have been able to use in years and their Mascara (though I can hardly use it anymore) My daughter's eyes are very very sensitive and she can use it, too.

tarte LipSurgence lip stain

Lip Balm: My friend introduced me to a line of products made by her daughter. It is the first lip balm I ever put on that doesn't make my throat get scratchy. Her products are healthy and sustainably made. Nutressant Lip Balm julesfran@aol.com  Call her to order: 913-897-3638 100% Organic. No Parabens.

Hair: I like Wen products.

I can use the Tea Tree and Almond Mint scents and most of their other scents are so strong I can't use them.

Cleansing Conditioner instead of Shampoo. this has completely changed my relationship with my hair.

Styling Creme a tiny bit if my hair is flyaway.

Sometime I spray Pure Aloe Vera Juice on and it works for body and static.

Re-Moist Hydrating Hair Mask for a deep conditioning treatment.

Find these products at places like : Sephora, QVC, eBay

When I want to lighten my hair (medium brown now) I used to use Sun In. In a recent bout of forgetfulness, I bought some and the scent and chemicals were so toxic I could hardly get it out fast enough. Now I use hydrogen peroxide, fresh Lemon juice and Aloe Vera Juice. Spray it on where I want it and go out in the Sun for awhile. Make sure to moisturize your hair after.

Do It Yourself Body Care:

It can be fun to learn how all these mysterious cosmetics and beauty products are made. My friend Sherry, who is very knowledgeable about herbal beauty, helped me make some lotion. It was first time I made a beauty product for myself that I had always bought my whole life, it was pretty fun and exciting. There are tons of books and even online classes now to encourage and guide if one is interested. This one is the one I gifted myself first: Organic Body Care Recipes

There is LOTS of amazing information at Susun Weed's websites: Natural Body Care Forum

GMO Genetically Modified Organisms

Myth: Genetically Modified Organisms are safe for human consumption and harmless to our environment. Genetically engineered food can help feed the world and reduce pesticide use… blah blah blah….

My Truth: Now this subject doesn't make me laugh, I'm working on it. Due to my digestive system being very irritated and dysfunctional, I am happy I finally discovered at least part and maybe all of why this is happening to me. I feel very grateful to certain organizations and individuals who are educating us about the real truth. There is so much that I won't even attempt to share it here. I will give you links and let you go on your own search for your own truth.

There were many reasons (excuses) I gave myself for putting off learning more about it; the inconvenience of trying to figure out what to do about it, what to eat when I know what eating it will do to me, the scariness of what is really going on, the commercial entrancement fog, the costliness of buying nonGMO foods, the scarcity of choices, I'm too busy to change… la la la la…

When I was finally ready to pull my head out of the GMO ground, I sign up for a NON-GMO Conference. It was astonishing and far more to it than I ever suspected. I began to see just how pervasive the symptoms of being fed GMO foods for 30 years without the appropriate testing are and how being bathed with and fed toxic Pesticides Chemicals has been to my own health, the environment, and how the GMO Seeds are threatening our freedom, our food supply and very existence of life as we know it on this planet, I started paying attention, BIG TIME!

If you are curious, courageous, or just plain sick and ready to pull you head out of the GMO Ground, here are a couple of links to get you started:

 HUMOR & SMILING

Myths: It is undignified to laugh. It's not nice to laugh at people. Smiling makes wrinkles.

My Truth: I have discovered that laughter is the most amazing medicine. You will need this one after the last entry. My life is easily and much more pleasant when I can and do, especially when I laugh at my self. I tend to be a very focused and serious being… sometimes thinking that the ascension of the world lies on my shoulders. It helps to visit the Laughter Room. I have had to lighten up, loosen us, learn to laugh more and if I just can't, do some BLISS BREATHING to bring myself into balance then I can at least smile, even if no one else is around. Now smiling, it makes me smile to just think about it, I bet you are smiling just reading about me smiling!

There is a most enjoyable practice I learned from reading the book, Eat, Pray, Love; SMILE WITH EVERY THING YOU HAVE EVERYDAY! Wherever you are, take a moment and start with your mouth and eyes, that's easy, we do it all the time. Now smile with your ears. Funny feeling? Now smile with your feet… odd? Now get creative and have fun and smile with each part of your body, the organs, body parts, endocrine glands (you know like Pineal, Pituitary, Hypothalamus, Amygdalas, Thyroid, Thymus, Lymphs, Ovaries, Testicles) right to your cells. Imagine smiling with every cells! Now that is one BIG SMILE! That's easy to imagine with all the Smiley faces around… Every time I do this, even a little, I always feel better, like right now!  Here is a little more: 2013 – Time for ADVENTURE – SIT & SMILE – PLAY
